Registration Information

The first day of school is tentatively set for SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 and will be 100% virtual.
 
Technology Needs Survey
We need to ensure that every student has access to a computer and internet. If you have not done so, please complete the TECHNOLOGY NEEDS SURVEY. YOU ONLY NEED TO COMPLETE IT ONCE. You may also choose to purchase $20 Non-Refundable Insurance for the device. 
 
Devices will be distributed as follows: 
Wednesday, September 2, 12:30 - 4:00: Last Names A-K
Thursday, September 3, 12:30 - 4:00: Last Names L-Z
 
New Student Registration 
Registration is required for new students.  Returning students do not need to complete a registration packet. Registration packets are available here or in the office at the school. 

The following documents are required: 
a) Birth Certificate
b) Social Security Card
c) Current Immunization Record
d) Parent Identification
e) Proof of residence: Utility bill (electric, water or gas) dated in current month.
f) Student’s Last report card or withdrawal packet from previous school.

School of Choice Transfer
As a new enrollee, in accordance with Louisiana’s Public School Choice Policy, we are required to inform you that Grolee Elementary School received a letter grade of “D” in
2019-2020 based on 2018-2019 student performance. As a result of the letter
grade, you have the choice to transfer your child to a higher-performing school in the district. This decision is entirely up to you. Your decision should be based on what you think is best for your child. If you choose to have your child remain at his or her current school, do not apply for a School Choice transfer. Returning Students
Students who were enrolled last school year will automatically roll over to the next grade.  We do, however, need to ensure that we have updated contact information for you.  Use the form below to update any information that has changed. 
 
All returning students must provide updated proof of residency.  These are due on the day you pick up devices and instructional materials.

Registration Fees - $25.00 per student
$20.00 of this fee goes to defray the cost of books, workbooks (not covered by state allocated funds), copy supplies, lease and contracts on copy machines, and other educational items that directly affect students learning. $5.00 of this fee will be used to purchase supplies, materials, and incentives for the implementation of the Leader In Me Program.

Optional Technology Insurance - $20.00 per student
This insurance would cover the device for damages that may occur while the device is in your possession. This does not include theft and is non-refundable. It covers the device for the regular school year.  Summer school requires additional insurance.
