Safety begins at home! This week, St. Landry Parish School District is highlighting essential fire safety tips to help keep our students, families, and community safe.
Take a moment to review these key safety practices with your family:
๐จ Test Alarms Monthly: Press the test button on all smoke alarms every month.
๐ Plan 2 Ways Out: Create and practice a home escape plan with two exits from every room.
๐ณ Watch Your Cooking: Never leave food unattended on the stovetop.
๐ฅ Give Heaters 3 Feet: Keep space heaters at least three feet from anything that can burn.
๐โโ๏ธ Get Out, Stay Out: Once you escape a fire, go to your family meeting spot and never re-enter the building.
Letโs work together to practice fire safety every day! ๐๐จโ๐
