Please see below for an update from the Louisiana Department of Health regarding the Covid Testing Incentive Program. Also, please try to promote more registrations before the deadline so that the new participants will not miss out on the incentives. INCENTIVE PROGRAM DEADLINE
The last day to register for the Safer, Smarter Schools Incentive Program is FEBRUARY 11, 2022. Those interested in registering may do so with their participating school.
What does this mean?
If you are currently enrolled, you will continue to be eligible for incentive payments through the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.
If you registered for the incentive program by February 11, you are eligible for incentive payments for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.
If you enroll after February 11, you may participate in school-based testing, but you will not be eligible for the incentive program for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.

Tomorrow we will transition back to regular uniforms (school approved sweatshirts and jackets)

Tomorrow will be another cold morning. Students may wear jeans or sweat pants with uniform tops. Students may also wear heavy non-approved school jackets.

All SBLC meetings that were scheduled for tomorrow will be rescheduled for next Friday.

After further consultation with the Office of Emergency Preparedness and receiving the latest reports from the National Weather Service, all St. Landry Parish School Board schools, Head Start centers, and administrative offices will be closed tomorrow, January 21, 2022. Students will not have remote learning tomorrow.

Beyond the Bell after school tutoring will resume on Monday, January 24, 2022 for those students who ride Mrs. Thierry's bus (Lebeau, Palmetto). Due to transportation issues, Melville and Morrow routes are temporary unavailable until further notice.

Thursday and Friday Cold Weather Attire
*So that students can be warm and comfortable, Thursday and Friday are cold weather attire days.
*Long pants, jeans, sweats, corduroys, etc.
(No leggings or yoga pants)
*Knit hats, scarves, and gloves are allowed.
*Layered clothing is encouraged
*Non-approved heavy sweatshirts and/or coats

Beyond the Bell after school tutoring resumes today. Mrs. Doucette's bus is still not running. All of her Beyond the Bell students will ride their normal bus home at regular dismissal time (3:05). If your child rides Mrs. Doucette's bus for Beyond the Bell tutoring and you would like them to stay for tutoring and be a car rider, please notify the office.

Car rider line reminders:
When picking up students in the afternoon car rider line, please adhere to the following directives:
1. Line up in the car rider line
2. Do not park on campus in teacher parking lots to retrieve your students
(this creates a safety issue and blocks traffic)
3. Do not park in the road and walk across the street to retrieve you students
4. Do not exit your vehicle in the car rider line, your students will be brought to you.
5. Please be patient, checking students out of school near bell time to avoid the car rider line, ties up the office and secretary.
Our goal is to always keep you students safe!

Makin' Groceries Mobile Market is on campus until 11:00. Come shop with us!

Reminders:
*Starting this afternoon, students who normally ride Mrs. Doucette's bus and live in Palmetto will be brought home on Mrs. Kristy Hutchins bus. She will be running this route until Mrs. Doucette returns.
*Makin Groceries Mobile Market will be on campus on Friday, January 14th from 9-11. Come shop with us!!
*Friday is jean day! $1 boots, $1 jeans, $1 shirts. $1 hats

Mrs. Doucetteâs bus will not be running until further notice. Students who ride her bus will need to be brought to school and picked up. Students who do not have transportation will be excused. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause.

TALENT EDUCATION
If you suspect your child of having Talented characteristics in MUSIC, THEATRE AND/OR VISUAL ART contact your childâs school for a referral to the School Building Level Committee. Talented referrals and evaluations are only conducted once a year in the Spring.
