Thanks so much to everyone who came out to support the kids, and a special shoutout to our awesome front desk staff for greeting everyone with a smile!✨
Shoutout to Johnathan Autrey from Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts (MACA) for completing his Emergency Medical Responder Instructor renewal! EMR instructors from across Louisiana are required to renew their licenses every two years to stay at the top of their game. Johnathan represented St. Landry Parish proudly as our lone representative at the, 16 hour (2 day) in person training hosted at the National EMS Academy in Lafayette. After collaborating with peers from all over the state and earning 16 hours of continuing education credits, he officially renewed his certification. Way to go, Johnathan!👏👏

Let’s give a massive round of applause to our very own Mrs. Sarah Keys! 🌟 Mrs. Keys was awarded first place in the K–5th Grade Division for the State VFW Citizenship Education Teacher’s Award. This is an incredible honor, and we are so proud of her dedication to shaping responsible young citizens in our community. Next stop: the national competition! 🇺🇸✨

🌟 Check out these highlights from our Career Exploration Summer STEM Camps! 🌟 Today, we kicked off an exciting week of hands-on learning and exploration in STEM. Student campers dove into STEM, culinary, and health care careers. Stay tuned for more highlights throughout our first week of camp, where we continue to spark curiosity and inspire future innovators! #STEMCamp #EmpowerFutureLeaders #ExxonMobil #STEMSquad

Supporting student voices is a team effort, and we are lucky to have Anna on that team! Join us in celebrating her during Better Hearing and Speech Month. 🌟

Serving our students at Lawtell Elementary, Lawtell Head Start, and Grand Prairie Elementary, Stephanie works tirelessly to ensure every child has a voice and the support they need to succeed. Thank you, Stephanie, for your commitment to excellence in our schools!

It’s Better Hearing and Speech Month, and we are shining a light on the incredible work Ashley does across our district.
