🎓💙 Yesterday, our freshmen kicked off the school year by meeting their upperclassmen Mentors! Students got to know one another through icebreakers, games, and teamwork while adding their handprints and signatures to our Commitment to Graduate Mural. 🖐️🎨 We’re excited to see these Mentor/Mentee relationships grow throughout the year! 💛✨

Bus 643 Aurelia Sanders (NCHS) will not run this AFTERNOON. 9/24/26.

Bus L209 Roslyn Mayfield and Carlos Smith bus 518 (BCHS buses) will not run this AFTERNOON NOR TOMORROW 9/25/26.

Please make arrangements for your child if he/she rides these buses. Sorry for the inconvenience.

💰 Financial Wellness in action! Our MACA JAG students were engaged and learning during a workshop with Pelican State Credit Union! 🏦 Mr. John Womack taught students about checking and savings accounts and will return monthly to continue building their financial literacy skills. We appreciate Pelican Credit Union for investing in our students and their futures! 💙

We are working on finding an afternoon sub and will update ASAP.

Fall Picture Day at MACA has been rescheduled to October 1, 2026. Students are to wear school uniforms.

☀️ Positive Morning is Coming to MACA! ☀️ On Monday, September 28th, we’re excited to welcome Dads & Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting our community! Their Positive Morning initiative brings community members together to greet students as they arrive at school and help start their day with encouragement and positive energy. 💙 📣 Tell somebody to tell somebody! 🏈 Touchdown, mathematicians! Our Zearn Endzone Challenge is officially underway — students across the district are stacking up towers to score big on math skills this season. Log in, tackle those Zearn lessons, and help your school cross the goal line to the top of the leaderboard! 🎉📐
