Summer Reading:
3rd/4th/5th grade summer reading assignments are due by August 27, 2021. However, assignments turned in on the first three days of school will receive 5 extra points!!!! (August 18-20)

Reminders:
Camp Accelerate will dismiss at 1:20 tomorrow.

Car riders will be dismissed at 12.10 and buses will be dismissed at 12:15.

This is how the school supplies will be packaged. Your students name is included on the packing list. Their supplies will be waiting for them when they arrive at school on the first day!!

Effective immediately, the mask mandate for students, staff and SLPSS facility visitors has been lifted. Masks are still required while traveling on SLPSS buses.

Camp Accelerate begins Monday! We have been trying to contact all parents about bussing. If you need to know the bus driver and pick up time, please call school tomorrow.

Spotlight - Kellie Rabalais, Principal at Palmetto Elementary School and LDOE Principal of the Year Semifinalist.
Mrs. Rabalais along with all Principal of the Year Semifinalists, will be honored at the 15th Annual Excellent Educators Awards Gala that will be held virtually on the evening of July 16. This exciting event is co-sponsored by Dream Teachers.
When asked, âHow do you inspire your staff or students?â Mrs. Rabalais replied, "My staff knows that I am their biggest cheerleader! I always try to set a good example and never ask them to do anything I wouldn't do." Congrats, Mrs. Rabalais! Your district is so very proud of you! #slpproud


It looks like tomorrow will be a beautiful sunny day. Remember to bring your water bottles to school. We want to make sure that everyone stays hydrated while at Fun Day. Students will be allowed to fill up their bottles at the filling station.
**swimsuits are not allowed.

Each child will receive a hot dog and a drink. Additional concessions will be sold.

Will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 between 10-12. All technology needs to be returned at this time This includes: tablets, Chromebook, chargers, and hotspots. Below is the price list for lost items:
